She cherished three things cherishes three things that God has done in her life:
- Salvation in 1965 while working at the Iowa School for the Deaf.
- Baptism in the Holy Spirit 1967 under the preaching of a Woman Evangelist.
- Called into the Ministry in 1971.
She was appointed and remains a full time US Missionary under Intercultural Ministries in Deaf Cultural Ministry AG. Carol says that God’s call into the ministry has been and remains a burning fire in her soul. She loves to worship the Lord.
Pastor Carol was led to pioneer two indigenous Deaf Churches in the Twin Cities area of Minnesota: Highland Park Deaf Church (Deaf Life Church) and Pleasant View Deaf Assembly. She also pioneered the Deaf Department at North Central Bible College (NCU); and served as the Minnesota Deaf Ministries Representative. Other outreach ministries were in Rochester & Duluth, MN.
The Lord Called Pastor Carol to Chicago, IL to work in inner city ministry. She lived and tented among these forgotten, hopeless deaf souls who responded to the Gospel and it’s power.
Pastor Carol has led IMPACT PRAYER, a fasting & prayer retreat for AG ministers serving deaf ministries. She previously served as the NF North Central Regional Representative and is on the NF Administrative Committee.
Currently Pastor Carol is pastoring Calvary Deaf Assembly in a suburb of Chicago. The church is refurbishing a building which will become their permanent home. Carol absolutely loves her two cats, Dusty & Betsy and her Golden Retriever, Jayden. Her favorite color is royal or dark blue and she loves her small 8 oz pottery cups for her flavored coffee!
One of her favorite verses is “Taste and see that the Lord is Good. O, the joys of those who take refuge in Him.” Psalm 34: 8
